Jeffrey Archer at his best, yet again! "Prisoner of Birth" is a classic example of how a novel that is based on a story of court trial should be. Complete with its twists in the plot, author does not fail to keep the reader completely glued to the book because there is a surprise waiting at every corner. How the main character etches out a revenge and the redemption is the work of a genius.
I would never be able to forget the lines as stated by Mr. Munro in the book which goes on to imply that, In our life we are either born rich and enjoy the luxury that it offers or we are born poor and struggle to make the ends meet. We are indeed the prisoners of birth. Only if we break free of the shell that we knowingly or unknowingly build around us and achieve far beyond what our circumstances of birth has to offer us, be in the form of charity or courage or any good character trait that would help a fellow human being, that we would truely be able to call ourself a "free person" (So thats the philosophical touch as promised by my previous post ;-) )
I never had the need to figure out the true meaning or impact of it but seems like its been forced onto me now. With time, people change and so does everything around us. How ready are we accept any drastic change in our lifestyle, that being either quick or at snail's pace, determines how strongly we were attached to it in the first place.
Change is a relative term which tends to take a turn for the good or bad, but you can never figure out in which direction you are heading to unless you "figure it out yourself at the end of the road. Maybe this post is a change from my frivolous and not-so-philosophical thoughts that I rendered out previously. The reason could be that my life is taking a complete turn at this juncture. I have to undergo a drastic change in my lifestyle but there is no escaping it. Accepting and Adjusting are mantras to actually take the step forward towards accomplishing a change that you desire.
Now, what is the change I am intending to bring about in my blog? I would try to pour in my thoughts on a self realisation journey that I am about to embark on. Hang on I know its boring but its my space to crap up my thoughts .. hooohooo :-)
Are u one of those ppl who'll be on time everytime ?..if yes then u can never associate wit this post n maybe even say wat crap! but i think there are a few ppl like me who land up last everytime when meeting frends or at get togethers.. rushing at the very last moment to some place or rather any place!! oh yeah I have been like this forever..thou every time i land up late n see that look on my frends face (u know tat i-can-kill-u look) i promise myself i'll be soo early the next time..wudnt leave any reason for complaints..but sumhow its just happens again..
if i gotta reach a place by 9 am..wud do all the planning stuff properly..ok 15 mins max travel time..maybe another 45 mins to get ready..but these creepy thoughts drag in at 8 am..hey 5 mins of extra sleep wont do so much damage nah.. zzzz (8.10) ...shit alarm's not on snooze..ok i drag myself from bed n get up finally but hey i gotta check my mail just in case some univ/some soul took an effort to mail me..(8.15) hmmm no mails..too bad no single soul bothers!!..i tell myself, "hey no resist orkut" .. but eventually land up there to see its the some ol crap scraps tat i saw late night anyways..a few clicks n i get lost in the maze of orkut..(8.30) one look at the clock n i am like oh crap..*damage control*.. a hurried shower n all tat later i see its (8.45) oh good still on time can catch up..only to find later the damn traffic n my estimated max time for travel is all wrong!..n yaa i get the i-can-kill-u look yet again !!!
dunno y i can never avert tat ... maybe its my resolution this ugadi to fight back this delayin laziness of mine..eventhough i know resolutions never work ;-)
Wat better way to start a fresh new year than partyin hard n gatherin up all ur energy for a bright new year! This is exactly wat i had in my mind when me n two of my frends (siva n sreejha) headed to blore..to wherelse but my sis's place..
Our journey goes like this.. we hopped in sreejha's car for a free ride till blore on 30th.. all tired n cranky by the time we landed..n had a nice dinner made by my sis(yep thats a shocker!!) lolz.. n just doozed off.. then came 31st.. we didnt have much to do by the day.. got up..played some batminton or rather got involved in some aerobics everytime sumone hit it hard n it got struck in the tree!.. the day just flew by without anythin big.. but hellaa de nights still young !! so there was loads of planning n stuff..where to head to? was the big question mark.. my jejhaji..his bro..my sis..jejhz's 2 frends..n ofcourse me n my frendz.. finally headed out by 8.. "mind it" destination- yet not confirmed !! saw possible partyin options on the way..but nuthin was liked by all.. finally we drove for really looong time..n de driver (guess he is from those dubai saffari rides!) did make the journey quite eventful..!
finally we reached "The golden palm resort" at 10.30.. oh man its the most amazing place i have evr seen.. guess wat? Hrithik Roshan got married here..yaaayy i finally get to see atleast a place where my hero walked down de aisle..lol !! its a place owned by Sanjay Khan..so we even got to see zayed khan..mmmm ;-)
after burnin out 5k per couple we finally got an entry.. the crowd was really nice..true assorted mix from young party mongers to families complete with oldies n kiddos... n thought this is gonna be a silent kind of party with dinner tables n some classical music in bckgrnd but then i was in for a complete surprise.. as we entered the lobby n then the backyard.. viola.. the most beautiful locales i have ever seen.. the biggessttt pool surrounded by tables n buffet on either side.. n in the opposite end thr was a bigg stage with the cutest DJ n biig dance floor.. amazing lightin..belie dancers too lolz... food was good.. the rest was masti redefined.. had a great time..the countdown to new year ..de dance.. de screams (voice is still down!) can never forget it.. I have decided to have fun every moment of my life..oh ya thats my resolution..more in line's of Ross' one!! life is only once so live it fully ! well then de party went on n on till 3 ..dunno when we reached home also.. got up next day late..shopped de next day(ofcourse going to blore n not shopping..nah doesnt give that complete satisfaction ;-)) n travelled in train on 3rd n landed back in hot n humid chennai..
now i got full josh to face another year hoping it'll be eventful(happy ones ofcourse)..n kick start it on a happy note, when i opened my inbox i even had an admit from univ of texas, arlington..yaayy...where's de party tonight ;-)

Well i have been planning to write one on Harry for quite some time now. It all started when a bunch of ppl from my class started this anti harry community on orkut.. n in their own local way of besmirchin harry named the community "harry putaarruuu"..needless of me to say it was tacky n proving their inabilities !! The ppl around the world r going gaga over Haryy..but why?? everyone has some reason to say..I'll tell u my version of why i like Harry Potter...
First of all he is a simple guy..he does not have the brains like hermoine nor he is a well build hunk..jus a regular kid in the wizarding world(now u may ask wats so regular abt the wizarding world..set aside all ur criticzz speczz..n read on)..but because of his past n certain situations he is forced into, the hero in him emerges out.. lets face it everyone of us have a fiercer side deep within us which most of the times is restrained inside but only when crisis arises its unleashed.. so i liked that spirit of harry..its inspiring.. how he emerges out successful from toughest of times is need inspiring..this is wat kids of this generation need to know..J.K.R has done a great job..not only the readin habbit part but everything abt her book is so damn good.. *warning to anti-harry comm ppl* u might think this is the time to launch ur "its a kids book..puhlease" attack...well the thing is there is a kid within everyone of us..thats the part the author taps out.. she just takes us right into the magical world n makes us believe it..n if u r think its a silly baseless magical world ..think again.. the author puts out facts..every little detail is explained out..byt the need of the series we really feel u have travelled a loong journey into that world..n actually miss it!!
So u feel..inspiration..thats all..all the superheros give u that!! nahh this package is all bundled up..when reading the book..u laugh..u cry..u feel for the characters so deep that its loads of mixed emotions..hard to define..can u tell me one book tat gave u all that?!!
Loads of stuff abt him..but it would be a loong blog then..maybe next time..

Wat is Vegetarianism !! Wiki defines it as the practice of a diet that excludes all animal flesh. So, i hear u say, "thats it?". Well thats makes the speculative debate whether "Egg is veg Vs non-neg" halt at a null. Variations to this term are coming up every instant..from "eggitarianism" to "Vegan" but being as close to the veggie food chain as possible is better n thats my opinion. Lemme clarify this, I am an eggitarian and its not by force that i am a vegetarian but by choice. Ya ofcourse it all started religiously cos being a brahman am supposed to be vegetarian right but does this trend follow course even now nah. Am 21 and given a choice i can skip n jump to other side of the table over night but its MY CHOICE not to do so. I can give you a hundren reason yelling out the goodness of Vegetarianism but then you would scream out several counter attackers too but in the end it doesnt matter at all. Its an individual's choice and everyone has a right to select. All i say is choose Wisely !
let me put forth some of my views to help u make that crucial decision.. apart from the health factor (for ur benefit not for the dead animal's) also consider the ethical factor. now c'mon dont say plants are alive too! *bull* the thing is i dont "hear" plant screamin..i dont "see" blood spluttering around when they are cut. technically plants have a smaller life span compared to animals..plants a bound to die in a few months but animals nah.. now dont give me the crap that u help balance the eco system !! holy Cr** the animals u consume have never even seen the world let alone "the s0-called-ecosystem" cos they a bred in small suffocating cages..so this reason of urs falls falt on ur face !
ok now i guess some the non-vegs temper may be on the high now after readin it..u probably wanna curse me..but lemme tell u that will not amount to a greater curse that u have accumulated over time eating all the poor animals.. if u still dont have a slightest tinge of feelin..then forget it all..am tellin it for ur own benefit..Ur health !!
jus my effort..if u r not bothered then it doesnt matter..even if a single soul stirs i would feel happy..ppl say in ur lifetime u should plant a tree but i would like to add..help change a non-veg to veg that would be great..
PS: a veg person continuing to be veg his/her whole lifetime is not that great cos he/she has never experienced the other taste but if a non-veg person changes to be a veg By choice..its the greatest decision ever made..!
